there are some apples i have to pack them in packets with equal number of apples in every packet.

when i tried with 9 apples per packet then at last 8 apples remains.

when i tried with 8 apples per pack at last 7 apples remains,
similarly when i tried with 7 , 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2 apples per pack at last 6,5,4,3,2 and 1 apples remains respectively. then tell me the number of apples and number of apples per pack??

  Take LCM of 9,8 ,7 , 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2 which is 2520 and subtract 1 .
  so 2519 apples are there.
  
  Number of packets will depend on number of apples in each pack.
  
  For 9 apples per packet , 279 packets are there with 8 apples remaining.

  For 2 apples per packet , 1259 packets are there with 1 apples remaining.

  when u divide 71 apples in packets of 7 , only 1 apple remains and not 6 as per given condition.
  
  I think u hv considered only first two conditions.
