Vijay lives in a street with house-numbers 8 up to 100. Lata wants to know at which number Vijay lives.
She asks him: "Is your number larger than 50?"
Vijay answers, but lies.
Upon this, Lata asks: "Is your number a multiple of 4?"
Vijay answers, but lies again.
Then Lata asks: "Is your number a square?"
Vijay answers truthfully.
Upon this, Lata says: "I know your number if you tell me whether the first digit is a 3."
Vijay answers, but now we don't know whether he lies or speaks the truth.
Thereupon, Lata says at which number she thinks Vijay lives, but (of course) she is wrong.
What is Vijay's real house-number?

when i tried with 9 apples per packet then at last 8 apples remains.
when i tried with 8 apples per pack at last 7 apples remains,
similarly when i tried with 7 , 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2 apples per pack at last 6,5,4,3,2 and 1 apples remains respectively. then tell me the number of apples and number of apples per pack??
