• non real numbers are called as imaginery numbers or complex numbers. i is nothing but imaginary part. we are expressing anon real number is x+(or -)iy.
  -1 is expressed as i^2 for +1 it as -1*-1=i^4. but above equation having real roots -3+(-)sqr(7) so you can express it in positive as -3+i^4 sqrt(7) or -3+i^2 sqrt(7).
