If the hypotenuse of right angel triangle is 13 m and its base is 12m, then find its height.
Read Solution (Total 11)
-
- (hyp)^2 = (base)^2+(height)^2
13^2 = 12^2+(height)^2
169 = 144+(height)^2
(height)^2 = 25
height = 5
Ans : 5

- let height be p metres
Given ,
hypotenuse,h=13m
base,b=12m
according to pythagoras theorem,h^2=p^2+b^2;
13^2=p^2+12^2;
on solving we get p=5 m

- 13*13=12*12+a*a A2+ B2 = C2
169-144=25
a=5 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- (hyp)^2-(base)^2=(height)^2
(13)^2-(12)^2=169-144
25=(5)^2

Pythagoras rule - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- (hyp)^2 = base^2+perp^2
13^2 = 12^2+p^2
25=p^2

- Ans is 5
a^2=b^2+c^2
13^2=12^2+c^2
169-144=c^2
c^2=25
c=5m - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)

- Hypoteneous ^2 = base ^2 + height ^2
So height ^ 2 = 13^2 - 12 ^2
=25
height = 5m - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- hyp^2=base^2+height^2
13*13=121*12+h^2
therfore H^2=169-144=>52
H=5 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
