Since the side of equilateral triangle is 10 cm 9 parallel lines are drawn corresponding to each side of triangle.

Number of smaller equilateral triangles formed = 1+3+5+...(2n-1)
where n = 10
and sum = n^2

ie, Number of triangles formed = n^2
= 10^2
=100
