The size of an equilateral triangle is 10cm long. by drawing parallel to all its sides the distance b/w the any two parallel lines being the same. the triangle is divided into smaller equilateral triangle each of which has side of 1cm length. how many such triangles ate formed?
Read Solution (Total 3)

- 100
Since the side of equilateral triangle is 10 cm 9 parallel lines are drawn corresponding to each side of triangle.
Number of smaller equilateral triangles formed = 1+3+5+...(2n-1)
where n = 10
and sum = n^2
ie, Number of triangles formed = n^2
= 10^2
=100
