• i am unable to understand this type of questions. please help me. i am going to write the elitmus on this 8th,june.

• c+X+X=A & no carry..therefore X can be 1,2,3,4 (probably smaller 1 or 2).
  
  lets take X=1 then H*E=1, let H=7 and E=3 give 21 and carry 2, then 3*M+2=_1.
  then M can only be 3, not possible.
  Lets reverse and take H=3 and E=7 then 7*M+2=_1. then M can only be 7, not possible.
  
  therefore x=1 not possible.
  
  for x=2, take pair of 3*4 or 8*4 you will realize, it's not possible.
  
  only pair left is 7*6, lets take k=7 and E=6 which will give h=8, m=3, a=5 and n=0 but K*A=w => 7*5=35, w can't be 5.
  
  then reversing taking k=6 and E=7, which will give h=8, m=4, a=5 and n=9
  now K*A=w => 6*5=30, w=0.
  
  by calculating we get v=3.

  WHY??
  x=1 let h be small say 3 and n+w=10 like 6 and 4 and v can b 2 ..
  WHY n+v=9..? its n+w+C=10

  if x=1, then h must be 9 so that a carry goes to make n + v + w = v as n+v=9.
  h=9,implies w=0 which is only possible if k=5 and A=2, but then X can only be 5 or 0 which is not possible as they are already occupied as w=0,k=5. so x cannot be 1.
  
  now for x=2,implies A=5 which means w must be 0 as it cannot be 5.
  H=8 for w=0, if w=0 then n=9 and as h=8 and a=5 implies h*a= 40 which implies m=4...now 1 +2*A+ V = M... impies V=3 to make m=4 as a=5.
  
  now for w=0, k can only be an even integer so k=6(as 2,4,8 are already occupied)
  and so E must be 7 to satisfy the above puzzle,

• This que can be started from the position of X + X = A so the value can be 11 22 33 44....bt one should keep in mind that the value of A shud not be a larger value..hence try from 11 and then 22..
