simple hit and trial start from s we know that s cannot be 1,5,6 because if it was some digit must have been repeated. now start s being 3-
if s is 3 then s*s should be 9 now think of a carry such that multiplication of 3*3 is RR only possible if 2 is carry therefore s*a should be some 7,8,9.
now we also have to see that multiplication of s*a should have last digit in it as A. so if we put a=7 ie- 21(2 will go in carry) now think s is 3 therefore there should be a carry 2 so that means x is either 8 or 9(to get carry 2) now put x=9 we will get what we require.
now we take multiplication for 2nd row g*379=(1w1l) now g cannot be(1,3,5,6,7,9)
now if we put g=2 we know it will be only 3 digit no(2*379) therefore g can be either 4 or 8
put g=4 u will get all u require 4*379=1516

- starting point :
See,
SAX*S=RRSA
so, S*S+c=RR then start assumung S's value with assumed carry to get RR.
then proceed - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- how you solve plz explain step by step, or there is rule for solving cryptarithematic plz
