Find the area of circle circumscribed about a square each side of which is 10 cm

  a circumcircle is the circle which touches all the vertices of a square.
  So diagnol = Sqrt(200) = 10 root 2.
  so area of circle = 3.14*50=157

  so the difference is

• Note : Diagonal of a sq is always =root 2*S ,where S=side ..
  ie
  diagonal= √2 times the length of the side
  
  And root 2*s is also the value of the diameter,
  
  therefore Radius = root 2*s/2 ..ie root 2*10/2
  
  Area of the circle =pi r sq ie pi *(root 2*10/2 )sq = 50pi
