since there are 3 possible ways to do
first -> one box is red ,other boxes can be yellow and blue -> 2ways
second -> one box is green, other boxes can be yellow and blue -> 2ways
third -> both the boxes are red and green - 1way
total - 2+2+1 =5 ways (since arrangement is not considered)
hey sangam (G,G) & (R,R) is also a possibility but think if we selected one box i.e green or red then there are no remaining red or green boxes..
So totally there are 4 boxes if u select 1 then remaining boxes will be 3..According to you there should be again 4 in order to select same box..which is not possible.. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
