120 meters with speeds 12 m/s and 6 m/s in the same

direction. When will they meet for the first time?

• A will complete one round in 120/12 =10 secs. B will complete 1 round in 120/6=20 secs. The LCM of these two timings (i.e.10 and 20) is 20 secs. hence both will meet for the first time after 20 secs.

  so their relative speed=(12-6)=6
  time=distance/speed=120/6=20sec
