(n+a) and (n+b) are the two perfect square , n,a,b are whole numbers.
a=11, b=56 so what are the possible values of n...???

- ans is 2
n=25
n=473 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(29) No(5)
- lets assume n+a=x^2 and n+b=y^2
n=X2-a and n=Y2-b
equate then
y2-x2=56-11=45
(y+x)(y-x)=45
so factors of 45
45*1 and 15*3 and 9*5 =45
y+x=45 y-x=1 then y=23 x=22 then n=529-56=473 and 484-11=473
y+x=15 and y-x=3 then y=9 and x=6 then n=81-56=25 and 36-11= 25
y+x=9 and y-x=5 then y=7 and x=2 the 49-56 not possible and 4-11 not possible so
ans is 473 and 25 only 2 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(10) No(0)

- a perfect square is the product of two equal integers
e.g.
9 is a perfect square because it can be expressed as 3 * 3 (the product of two equal integers)
ans is i)none - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- In this question their is no limitation of n like,the the value of n should be less then 200,300 etc.
initially if we will put n=25,473 it satisfied but surely so many other numbers are their which might be satisfy the condition ,since limitation not given .
According to option 1) non of these will be ok.
