A compleats a work in 2.25 days ,b in 4.5,c in 9 and D in 18 days.they form group of two such yhat diff. is max. b/w them.
what is difference in the no of days they compleat that work??

• let a do in x day,then b do in 2x day, c in 4x day and d in 8x day(x=2.25)
  now 1/x+1/2x=3/2x, means 2x/3day-----(1)
  
  now second group... 1/4x+1/8x=3/8x, means 8x/3 days---(2)
  for diffrence 8x/3-2x/3=5x/3=5*2.25/3=4.5days

  in same way D completes 1/18th part of total work in a single day.
  
  now,they done (1/9+1/18)th part in 1 day.i.e, 1/6th part,i.e they will completes their total work in 6 days.
  
  same way A and B completes their total work in 1/(2.25+4.5)=1.5 days
  
  so the difference between two group is of 6-1.5=4.5 days.
