- let x answers are correct and y answers are wrong...
then x+y=26 ---------(1)
and 8x-5y=0----------(2)
solving above two equations
x=10
y=16 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(28) No(0)
- let he answered x correct ,
then
8*x-(26-x)5=0
x=10
10 answers were correct - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(0)
- let no. of right ques be x,
then no. of wrong ques will be= 26 - x
now, according to ques
8x - (26-x)5 = 0,
hence x=10...no. of right ques is 10 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- if we assume that he answered 10 questions correct...then
the no.of in correct questions will be....=16
so the right sol will be=10*8=>80
& the right sol will be=16*5=>80
so the final score of the student is...=
80-80=>0
so final answer is 10 :) - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(3)
- 10 correct and 16 wrong 10+16=26
10*8 + 16*(-5) = 0
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- total no of correct question=10,marks obtained for right solution=10*8=80
total no of wrong answered question=16,hence negative marks=16*5=80
final marks=80-80=0
ans=10 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- Let no. of correct answers be x, and wrong answers be y.
Then ATQ,
x+y=26 ----->eq. A
total score equation
8x-5y=0
=> y=8x/5
On Substituting in eq. A and solving for x, we get
13x/5= 26
Hence, x=10

- 8*10=80
5*16=80 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- if correct answers = 10
then total marks will be 80
nd then left are incorrect = 16 , 16*5 = 80..
hence marks will be 0
so answer is 10 and 15... - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- x=no.of correct answers,y=no of wrong answers
x+y=26
8x-5y=0
after solving these equtions
x=10
y=16
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- x+y=26
8x-5(26-x)=0
x=10
y=16 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- a. 10
b. 12
c. 11
d. 13
Ans: A
Explanation:
Take options and check. If 10 are correct, his score is 10 x 8 = 80. But 16 are wrong. So total negative marking is 16 x 5 = 80. So final score is zero. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)

- for 5 correct ans marks are 40
for 8 incorrect ans marks are 40
i.e totals um for 13 ques in 0
hence 10 correct ans - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- Ans is 10
As 8x10=80==(26-10)X5 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
