A user type a content on 20 sheets, each sheet consist of 55 lines, and each line can have 65 characters. The content is again retyped on another set of sheets, these new sheets have 65 lines and each line can take 70 characters.
calculate the reduction in sheets.
a) 10
b) 15
c) 20
d) 25
Read Solution (Total 11)
-
- 20*55*65=x*65*70
here x comes 15.7 and as we cant have a fraction of sheet so required sheets is 16
reduction is 20-16=4 which is 20% reduction - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(56) No(4)
- you have to give dedeuction in percentage...as i think it should be20*55*65=x*65*70 so x should be 15 approx so dedeuction in percentage should be 5/20*100=20%

- option will be c.)
x=(20*65*55)/70*65
=16
16/20
= 4*100/5
=20

- i think d may be wrong
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- 1 sheet contain 55 lines
So 20 sheets contains=20*55=1100 lines..
After reduction
65 lines are present in 1 sheet
1100 lines are presents in=1100/65=16.92=17 approx
So deduction is =(20-17)/20*100=15

- ans -25%
20*55*65=x*65*70
here x comes 15.7 and as we cant have a fraction of sheet so required sheets is 16
