effeciency of Dev = 100/45 = 2.22

effeciency of tukku = 100/40 = 2.5

(2.22 + 2.5)x + 2.5*23 = 100

x=9 days....
so after 9 days dev leave the work...

in 1 day dev do= 8 unit & tukku do= 9 unit
in 23 days tukku do = 23*9=207 units
Remaining work wll be done by dev and tukku=(360-207)/(9+8) = 10.2 days
hence dev leave after 10.2 days

both 1 day work=1/45+1/40=17/360

tukku work for 23 days =23/40

remaining work =1-23/40=17/40

17/360 work is done in 1 day
total work is done in 360/17 days
17/40 work is done in =17/40*360/17 ===9

( x / 45 ) + ( ( 23 + x ) / 40 ) = 1........ (did/can)
after solving for x, we get x=9 days.
