- suppose radios of small circle is r
so area= 3.14*r^2
and radios of big circle is root2*r
and area is 3.14*2*r^2
so ratio is 2:1 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(35) No(5)
- suppose side of square =a
radios of big circle=a/sqrt(2)
radios of small circle=a/2
big circle:small circle=3.14*a^2/2:3.14*a^2/4=2:1 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(2)
- area of small cirle= pi*r^2
let radius of big circle be 2r
area of big circle = pi* (2r)^2
so ratio of area is pi* (2r)^2 : pi*r^2
so ratio is 4 : 1 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(21)
- let, radis of smaller circle is a. So length of 1 side of d square is 2a and its diagonal is root2*2a.
Radius of bigger circle=diagonal of square=root2*2a
so required ratio=pi*(root2*2a)^2:pi*a^2=8:1 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(6)
- big circle radius=2^1/2*a
small circle radius=a
now area ratio=2:1 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(1)
- sq.rt(2):1
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(1)
- 2:1
Area of small circle =3.14r^2
Radius of bigger circle = 2^0.5 *r (ie HALF OF DIAGONAL OF SQUARE )
area of bigger circle =3.14*2*r^2
Ratioof bigger : Smaller circle = 2:1

- √2:1
half of square Diagonal:half of the side - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- answer will be 2:1 diameter of big circle root2*a
and the diameter of the small circle will be a
ratio between the areas means ratio bw radius or diameters all means same 2:1 is the answer - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- 1)let radius of big circle is 1 unit.
2)as square is inscibed in it,diagonal of square =diameter of big circle=2
3)so side of square is root 2.
4)now small circle diameter =side of sqaure=root 2
5)so radius of small cirle=1/root2.
ratio of areas=2:1 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- Since circumference of circle is 2*Pi*r,then circumference of small circle is 2*Pi*r and Large Circumference have 2*Pi*(2r) i.e, assuming Radius of Large circumference is 2r.
So, Ratio is 2*Pi*(2r) : 2*Pi*r, so, 2:1 is the answer. - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- let side of square be a.So small circle radius becomes r(let)= a/2.Now radius of bigger circle can be calculated using pythagoras theorem.i.e., R(let)= a/1.414. Therefore ratio R:r=1.414:1.

- sqrt(2):1 when u consider the circumfrence of the circle and 2:1 if u consider the are of the circle.
as ratio between the the two circles. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- radius of the circle inscribed in a square of side A is A/2.
and then , the radius of the outer circle will be equal to half the diagonal length of the square , and that equals to A/squaroot( 2) .. so the ratio of radii is "root(2):1" and if ratio of the areas is 2:1. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)

- lets say 's' is side of a square
then,
inscribed cricle (small): radius = s/2
circumscribed circle (big): radius = √2s
areas : π(√2s)^2 : π(s/2)^2
therefore, ans is 8:1 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- The diagonal Of the Square is x * root(2) this is biggest circle diameter And side of square is smallest circle diameter Let x And ratio is x:x*root(2) ie: 1/root(2)
- 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- if square side = x
then radius of small circle is = x/2
then radius of big circle is= root of (2*(x/2)*(x/2))
radius of big circle is = [{root of (2)}*(x/2)}]
then the answer is = {root of (2)} :1 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- 4:1.
Let the radius of outermost circle be10, therefore, side of the square is 10root 2. hence this will become diameter of the small circle. which means the radius of the small circle is 5 root 2. On finding the ratio of their areas answer is 4:1. - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
