A dealer buys dry fruit at Rs. 100, Rs. 90 and Rs. 70 per kg. He mixes them in the ratio 2:3:4 by weight and sells them at a profit of 50%. At what price does he sell the dry fruit (Rs. per kg)?
Read Solution (Total 7)
-
- 125/-
The price of mixture is = (2/9*100)+(3/9*90)+(4/9*70)
= 250/3 /-
He increased 50% of 250/3
= 250/3*50/100
= 125/3
Tot=>(250/3)+(125/3)=125/- - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(28) No(0)
- total cp =100*2 + 90*3 + 70*4 = 750
sp = profit + cp = 1125
but this sp is of (2+3+4 = 9) 9kg dry fruit
therefore per kg price = 1125 / 9 = 125 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(9) No(0)
- SP=((100+gain%)/100)*CP
CP=250/3
SP=(150/100)*(250/3)
SP=125

- see accordng to the given question
dealer buys dry fruit at rs.100,90,and 70
we will ind the mixture price=(2/9*100)+(3/9*90)+(4/9*70)
= 250/3
He increased 50% of 250/3
= 250/3*50/100
= 125/3
Tot=>(250/3)+(125/3)=125/-

- total amount with 50% profit =(200x+270x+280x) +50%(200x+270x+280x)=1125x
(2x+3x+4x)y=1125x
y=125
ans is 125

- total C.P.=(100+70+90)
=260
as the fruits are mixed in the ratio by the weight so no need to consider the ratio
SP=(100+50)%ofCP
=150/100*260
=390 rs. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(2)
- =125/kg
fruits are mixed in the ratio of 2:3:4 by weight
cost
2*100=200rs
90*3=270
70*4=280
total=750rs for 9kg
sells at profit of 50% means.........750+375=1125rs for 9kg
so for 1kg=125rs
