in a school number of students who [assed are three times the number of students who failed.if the number of students would have been decreased by 16 and the number of students who failed is increased by 6,then the number of students who would have pased are 80.then find out the number of students in the school.

If T is no of total students and F is no of failed students, then
T= F+3F= 4F
and
T-16 = F+6 +80

solving these eqns, we get
F=34 and total students, T= 4*F = 4*34 = 136
