Algebra
In A,B,C are having some marbles with each of them. A has given B and C the same number of marbles each of them already have. Then, B gave C and A the same number of marbles they already have. Then C gave A and B the same number of marbles they already have. At the end A,B,and C have equal number of marbles.
If the total number of marbles are 72, then the number of marbles with A at the starting
(a) 20
(b) 30
(c) 32
(d) 39
Read Solution (Total 6)
-
- go from the end.
at end each having equal no.of marbles.
totally we have 72 marbles.
so at end all are having 24,24,24.
previous step C gave A and B the same number of marbles they already have...
so
A B C
24 24 24
if c gave same amount means in previous steps it look like
12 12 48
in other prev step B gave it to A and C,so it looks like
6 42 24
so initially A gave it to B and C
39 21 12
so ans is d)39

- (d) 39
Initial : 39 21 12
Next : 6 42 24
Next : 12 12 48
Final : 24 24 24 =>total 72 and all having equal. - 14 years agoHelpfull: Yes(10) No(8)
- simple logic, hereinfirstcase a a has given to b and c the same number those already have i,e it must have more than the sumof both b and c in only 39 case it is possible

- A has 39 marbles, B-21, C-12 marbles

- answers 2(3y-x-z),, 39
11)question
given that three numbers are x,y,z
first A given to B,C
so B=2y
C=2z
A=x-y-z
second B gives C,A
C=4z
A=2(x-y-z)
B=3y-z-x
third C gives A,B
A=4(x-y-z)
B=2(3y-z-x)
C=5z-x-3y
so ans is 2(3y-z-x)
question 12
at final A,B,C Same numers
so 4x-4y-4z=72/3=24-------(1)
x+y+z=72----------(2)
solve (1) and (2)
A at starting has 39 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(1)
- finaly we have to get equal values of a b c
total given is 72
72/3=24 24+24+24
c=24
it can have only one possible solution to give is 12+12 to A and B
i.e 12 12 48
now b=12 it has possible of giving 6+6
so 6 42 24
now A=6 to give equal for both a nd b
if A=39 and b=21 c=12
Ans 39 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)

If a car starts from A towards B with some velocity. Due to some problem in the engine after traveling 30km, the car goes with 4/5 th of its actual velocity The car reaches B 45 min later to the actual time. If the car engine fails after traveling 45km, the car reaches the destination B 36min late to the actual time What is the initial velocity of car and what is the distance between A and B in km
