  Now as per her assumption of 5% failing , he will sell 1900 at 25rs earning 47500 which is his Selling Price(SP).Consider Cost Price(CP) as x and given profit as 25%, using formula (CP)[1+ profit]=SP we can substitute and find CP as 38000 (this is CP for 2000 goods).
  Now since only 50% passed test, 1000 goods were sold at 25rs i.e he got 25000. his loss is hence 38000-25000 = 13000
