  so 12/1.6 = 7.5 days b alone complete the job

  Let B complete work in 'x' days
  Then B does 1/x work in - 1 day
  
  Also B is 160/100 times more faster than A.
  
  So,
  
  (1/12) * (160/100) = 1/x
  
  2/15 = 1/x
  
  x = 15/2
