A contractor decided to complete the work in 40 days and employed 60 men at the beginning and 40 men additionally after 10 days and got the work completed as per schedule. If he had not employed the additional men,how many extra days would he have needed to complete the work?

  100 men do th remaining work in 30 days
  60 men do th remaining work in 30*100/60=50days
  so 60 men do the total work in 60 days
