A man engaged a servant on a condition that he’ll pay Rs 90 and also give him a
bag at the end of the yr. He served for 9 months and was given a turban and Rs 65.
So the price of turban is
i. Rs 10 / 19 / 0 / 55

• assume both turban and bag are of same price

  9x=65+p

• let assume the value of turban = x
  
  so
  12 month's salary = 90 + x
  
  9 month's =( 90+x ) (9/12) = 65 + x
  
  on solving we get
  
  270+3 x=260+4 x
  
  4 x-3 x=270-260
  
  x = 10 Rs.

• payement of 12 month=90

  " " " " 9 month=(90*9)/12=67.5
  so price of turban=67.5-65=2.5
