What is the maximum number of pieces into which a cube can be cut by 11 cuts

• Ans: 100 pieces
  Distribute the cuts along all three axes... So, the number of cuts along different axes will be 4, 4 and 3. For n parallel cuts in an axis, n+1 pieces are formed... So, total (4+1) * (4+1) * (3+1) = 5 * 5 * 4 = 100 pieces are abtained...

  1st we cut cube 4m X & y axis so 2 cuts - pieces.
  doing same thing for all 4 pieces so more 8 cuts & 16 pieces
  so total 10 cut 16 pieces.
  & cutting any 1 piece total cuts = 11 & total pieces = 17

  The question does not say about parallel cutting.
  It may be axial cutting

• @Sanjana Try any other way, this is the maximum pieces that can be made, as long as the cut is made by a plane.
