There are three guys who have equal number of bullets. All of them shoot 4 bullets. The remaining bullets are equal to the total number of bullets remaining is equal to the bullets each had after division. What was the original number of bullets each one had?

so 3x-12=x
x=6
so each was having 6 bullets.

All they shot 4 bullets
so 3*(x-4)=x
solving this we get x=6
