A change making machine contains 1 rupee, 2 rupee and 5 rupee coins. The total number of coins is 300. The amount is Rs.960. If the number of 1 rupee coins and the number of 2 rupee coins are interchanged, the value comes down by Rs.40.What is the total number of 5 rupee coins?

No. of coins : x y 300-x-y
Value of the coins: 1*x+2*y+5*(300-x-y)
Thus the first equation comes to 4x+3y=540
Now when the No. of coins are rearranged as per the condition
The second equation comes to 3x+4y=580
Solving the equations, we get
x=60,y=100
