Bowl contains marbles. If 1/4 of the marbles were removed, the bowl would be filled to 1/2 of its capacity. If 100 marbles were added,the bowl would be full. How many marbles are in bowl?

Let the No. of marbles in the bowl is "x"
and the capacity of the bowl is "y"
As per the condition
0.75x=0.25y, x=0.25y/0.75
and, as per the second statement
x+100=y
Now solving the same we get y=300 and x=200
and thus, No of marble in the bowl are 200
