2*50*75/(50+75)
=7500/125= 60 miles

Ans: 60 miles/hr

Total distance = 3 km = 1.863 miles
Now, time taken to travel first half = (1.863/2) / 50 = 0.01863 time units

Similarly, time taken to travel second half = (1.863/2) / 75 = 0.01242 time units

Total time taken = 0.01863 + 0.01242 = 0.03105 time units
Thus average speed = total distance / total time = 1.863 / 0.03105 = 60 miles/time unit
