• The amount of work to be done and time required to the do the work are directly proportional to each other. If we change the amount of work to be done and we change the time taken by the same quantity, everything else will remain the same.
  
  In this case, the work to be done has become 10 times of the original (from 2.5 paintings on 2.5 canvases to 25 paintings on 25 canvases) and the time taken has also become 10 times (from 2.5 days to 25 days)

  This is a question which is actually quite simple but looks too complex.
  5/2 artists make 5/2 paintings using 5/2 canvases in 5/2 days basically means that an artist takes 2.5 days to make a painting on a canvas.
  
  To solve these kind of questions, it is important to reduce them to a per capita (like we have done above).
  So, if an artist takes 2.5 days for a painting on a canvas he would take 2.5*25 days for 25 paintings on 25 canvases.
  But we want it done in 25 days.
  This is possible if we employ more people (artists).
  If we wanted it done in 1/2 the time, we would need twice the people.
  If we wanted it done in 1/3rd of the time, we would need thrice the people.
  If we wanted it done in 4/17th of the time, we would need 17/4 times the people.
  
  In this case, we want it done in 1/2.5 th of the time, so we would need 2.5 times the people
  => We need 2.5 artists.
