There are 60 slots around a circle,
numbered 1 to 60. A man starts from
the first slot and jumps to the 5th slot.
From there he jumps to the 9th slot and
so on. In which slot will he land in his
2200th jump?
a) 1 b) 5
c) 41 d) 45
Read Solution (Total 7)

- 41
every 15th jump, he comes back to 1st position
so, 2200/15 = Remainder 10
Hence 10th position is 41st slot - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(34) No(0)
- series is like 1,5,9,13,17.21,25,29,33,37,41,45,49,53,57 and after 57 again cycle repeats ,so for 1 cycle 15 integers, therefore 2200/15 gives remainder as 10 so in above series 10th place digit is 41. so ans is 41 option c

- 2200 X 4 = 8801
8801 % 60 = 41 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(7) No(0)
- 41
In one round he jumps 15 times so in 2200 jumps he completes 146 total round and 10 is remaining
jumps so at 10th jumps he wil be in 41 th slot(4*10+1) . - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- 41 slot. The circle is completed by 15 jumps. So after completion of 2190 jumps he was in the 1st slot so after 10 jumps he will be in 41th slot.
