  which is given in the question as 15; so 250x=15 => x=(15/250)
  Similarly, let one woman in one day does y work,
  so 150 women in one day do 150y work.
  According to question 250x+150y=12; substituting x=(15/250) from above,
  we get y = (-3/150)
  hence 150 women in one day do = (-3/150)*150= -3 work
  which means that men are doing constructive work and women are doing destructive work. It can also we well seen as:
  (250 men + 150 women) i.e. 400 persons do 12 work in one day,
  but alone 250 men do 15 work in one day, so women must be doing negative work in the team.

• I think there is a mistake in this question. If all men and women together complete 12 units, how
  only men can do 15 Units of work a day?
