An empty tank be filled with aninlet pipe ‘A’ in 42 minutes. After 12 minutes an outlet pipe ‘B’ is opened which can empty the taken in 30 minutes. After 6 minutes another inlet pipe ‘C’ opened into the same tank, which can fill the tank in 35 minutes and the tank is filled find the time taken to fill the tank?

12/42 + 6/42 - 6/30 + x/42 - x/30 + x/35 =1
x=40.5

- time taken by inlet pipe to fill in 1 minute=(1/42)
time taken by empty tank in 1 minute=(1/30)
after 6 minutes...
anther pipe whch can fill in 35 minutes
so the time taken:
((1/42)+(1/35)-(1/30))+6
=58.5
Is this process right??
