• Let x be the average of all 9 persons.
  Money spent by 8 persons = 8*12= Rs.96
  Money spent by ninth person = Rs.(x+8)
  Therefore, Average money spent by all 9 persons = 96+(x+8)/9=x
  104+x=9x
  x=13
  Money spent by ninth person = x+8= 13+8= Rs.21
  Therefore, Total money spent by all of them = 96+21= Rs.117
