b. 4
c. 2
d. 1

- (m+n)/12 remainder is 8 so m+n=8+12=20
(m-n)/12 remainder is 6 so m-n=6+12=18
solving this m=19,n=1
(m*n)/6=(19*1)/6 remainder is 1 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(17) No(4)
- dividend=quotient*divisor+remainder
m+n/12 r=8 sooo 12x+8=m+n
12x+6=m-n
6x+y=mn
by solving eqns 1 and 2 soo n=1,,and after result (12x+7)/6 remainder is 1 soo option d is correct - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(1)
- Let m=13 and n=7 then (m+n)/12 remainder is 8 and (m-n)/12 remainder is 6.
NOW m*n=13*7=91 divided by 6 gives remainder as 1. - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(3)
- M+n=8
M-n=6
By solving these 2 eqns m=7 ,n=1
M.n/6=1 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(0)
- Ans:d
12+8 = 20
20= 19+1 (there are other solutions as well but only this one matches with both the conditions i.e, 19+1%12=8 nd 19-1%12 =6
therefore 19*1%6=1 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(1)
- here m+n+8 and m+n+6 is completely divisible by 12.
so, m+n=8 & m-n=6
after solving these two equation we get, m=7 & n=1
mn = 7
so when we divide 7 by 6 , we get remainder 1. - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)
- take a,b as two numbers
a=19 and b=1
these two numbers can satisfy above conditions - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- First remainder is 8 when divided by 12,
so take number as 20,
2nd case remainder is 6 . so difference between m & n is 6 .. so M=13,N=7 ..
Now m*n = 91 .. 91/6 , remainder 1
answer 1

- option d is correct becoz m+n can be 8 and m-n can be 6.bcz8/12remains 8.so by solving we get m=7 and n=1 then mn=7 &7/6 remains 1.so ans is 1

- Let m+n=32-->(1)... because 32/12 gives remainder 8,
Let m-n=30-->(2) because 30/12 gives remainder 6,
Solve eq1 & eq 2,we get n=1 and m=31.
when 31/6 we get remainder as 1..
Hence option d is the answer. - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- we get m=100 and n=28 when solving 2 cases.... then after 100*28 /6 then remainder is 4...
