Let wages of a woman per hour be Rs. x and a man be Rs. (x+0.5), then
Average wages of men and women=[600*(x+0.5) + 400*x]/(600+400) = 22.55
=> 600x+300+400x = 22550
=> 1000x = 22250
=> x=22.25
