- Given A and B have their ages in reverse order
Let A's age be xy and B's age be yx
Given the difference in their ages is is twice that of C’s age
=)(10x+y)-(10y+x)=2c
=)9(x-y)=2c----(1)
Given B is ten times as old as C
=)10y+x=10c---(2)
Applying (1)/(2) we get
(9x-9y)/(10y+x)=2c/10c
(9x-9y)/(10y+x)=1/5
=)45x-45y=10y+x
=)44x=55y
=)4x=5y=t(say)
On solving x=5 and y=4
Therefore age of A=54,Age of B=45 and age of C is 4.5 years. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(0)
