equal amounts of water were poured into 2 empty jars of different capacities, which made one jar 1/4 full and the other jar jar 1/3 full. if the water in the jar with lesser capacity is, then poured into the jar with the greater capacity, what fraction of the larger jar will be filled with water?

  As 1/4 capacity of first jar= 1/3 capacity of second jar
  As water in second jar=1/4th of the first jar
  If second jar is poured in first,it will be (1/4)+(1/4)=2/4=1/2 filled

• let 100 ltrs and 75 ltrs are capacities of jar ,25 ltrs were poured into both the jars. then 100/25=1/4 ,75/25=1/3,is satisfied,now 25 ltrs in 75 ltrs were poured into 100 ltrs,then it become 50/100=1/2
