A palindrome no.is a no which appears/read as same when read in reverse order,eg 1221.x is a two digit palindrome no.and y is three digit palindrome no.z=x+y.
What is the middle digit in y?
Conditions:
a)z is a 4 digit palindrome no.
b)z is an odd no.

• X must be anyone among 11,22,33,44,55,66,77,88,99.
  Y must be anyone among 1k1,2k2,3k3,4k4,5k5,6k6,7k7,8k8,9k9 [ where k is a variable no from 1 to 9].
  There arises only one choice for Y to make Z a 4 digit number i.e 9k9.
  Y is having odd number at its unit position. So it must be added with a even number to get an odd number.
  Also Z must consist 1 in its unit position because the thousands position must not exceeded by 1999.
  So X must be 22.
  then The obvious chance goes for Y is 979. So the middle number of Y is 7.

  since x can be even(22,44,66,88) or odd(11,33,55,77,99)
  so z can be even or odd
  so both statement are wrong.

  given Y is a 3 digit,X is 2 digit and let Z be a 4 digit number.
  since sum of a 3 digit and a 2 digit gave an 4 digit number,
  Y=9a9 and z= 1bb1, where a,b=0,1,2....9

• Only statement a is required as for finding 4 digit palindrome no. y needs to 999 and x needs to be 99, adding up to 1098, so middle digit can be found but using both together will no bring the answer
