You have a bucket of jelly beans. Some are red, some are blue, and some green. With your eyes closed, pick out 2 of a like color. How many do you have to grab to be sure you have 2 of the same?

  actually we need to count the jelly beans then devide the number of jelly beans by 3 .Let there are total N beans and after dividing it by 3 we got N/3=K beans then we must grab atleast 2K+2 beans to be sure that we two of same color.

• "Some" is assumed non-zero value with maximum unmentioned. In this case we can not be sure however much we are grab is sure to be of same color.

• 4 is the answer only in the case if they have said we are picking 3 different colours in the first 3 attempts. Here it is not given anything related to that. 4 is not the answer. Actually solution proposed by Uma Nath Jha is correct
