out of 10 minutes there is only 2 minutes chance of getting harbour line train and there is 8 minutes chance for getting main line train.

So, probability = 8/10 = 0.8

only 2 min gap are there in between 10 min frequency.
so 10-2=8
probablity= 08/10=0.8 ans

a very easy question but may confuse manysuppose the person arrives at station just after 5am.he has 2 min leftfor the harbr line train.that means he gets hrbr line train if he arrives at any time bet 5 and5:02am.but if he arrivesafter 5:02 am next train is at 5:10am(given freq is 10 min).tht meanshe can arrive at any time bet 5:02 and 5:10am to catch it.so he has 8 minutes(5:10-5:02)at hisdisposal.s prob of gettingmain line train=8/freq and tht of harbr train=2/freq.freq=10.so prob=0.8--main line" " " =0.2--harb lin
