15 coffee=> 1000/15=66.67
so one cup could be rs 66 max,

now possible rs values of a cup

66*15=990rs (given in ques, can buy only 15 cups max)

65*15=975rs (given in ques, can buy only 15 cups max)
{since if we buy 16 cups each of 65rs then we get 65*16=1040 > 1000}
so 65 is also possible value as it is not violating the question constraint.
same as above

64*15= 960rs (but 64*16 > 1000)
63*15= 945rs (but 63*16 > 1000)
62*15= 930rs (but 62*16 < 1000)(so one can buy 16 cup each of 62rs in rs 1000 which is not given in the question i mean one can buy only 15 cup in 1000rs)
so 62 is not possible.

now we have 63,64,65,66 possible values... as we want to maximize the no. of cups so we have to minimize the cost which is 63.

now 2000/63=31.***
so the answer is 31.

Maximum 20 cups of coffee he can purchase with remaining money.

Let X = Rate of 1cup of tea
And Y = Rate of 1cup of coffee.
And Z = Max no of cups of coffee he can purchase with the remaining money

X = 600/24
So, X = 25

Y = 1500/15
So, Y = 100

For 2200, he bought 8 cups of tea and ?? amount of coffee.

i.e., 8X + ZY = 2200
--> 8(25) + 100Z = 2200
--> 200 + 100z = 2200
--> 100Z = 2200 - 200
--> 100Z = 2000
--> Z = 2000/100
Z = 20

For, 15 cups of coffee for rs 1000.

Tea - 24 cups in 6oo rs
so, 1 cup Tea - 25 rs

coffee - 15 cups in 1000rs
so, 1 cup coffee - 66 rs but also possible value- 66,65,64,63
choose value 63 because we want to purchase maximum cups of coffee.

Here,
2200 Rs and 8 cups of tea and X cups of coffee

8*(25)+X *(63) = 2200
x * (63) = 2000
max value for X =31 So, X * 63 < 2000

Ans is 31 cups of coffee.

the answer is 30 , since
price of a cup of tea is Rs 25
and a cup of cofee is Rs 1000/15
now out of 2200 , he spend 200 in buying 8 cups of tea
so he has left with rs2000 ,
therefore he can by 2000/(1000/15) = 30
BUT the problem is i dont see 30 anywere in the option
options are 33, 32 ,31, 27.. guys chk it out

Ans= 20 cups of coffee
Solution=
Price of 1 cup of tea=600/24=25
price of 1 cup of coffee=1500/15=100
Among Rs.2200 man buys 8 cup of tea @=8×25=200
For rest Rs.2000 man can buy=2000/100=20 cups of coffee

from given data 1 tea=600/24=25
1 coffee=1500/15=100
he is having 2200 and purchased 8 cups of tea
2200=(8*25)+x
x=200
he is left with 200/- so he can buy 2 cups of coffee

for 600 rs he gets 24cups of tea => 8 cups tea costs 200rs.

and for 1500 he gets 15 cups od coffee => each cup is 100rs (very costly coffee:D)

now he has 2200rs and purchased 8 tea cups so he'l b havng 2000 left with which he can buy 20 cups coffee.

why are we manipulating answer. it is simple that he can buy a maximum of 30.003 which is equal to 30.

maximum number of tea he can buy for rs 600 is 24
so if he buys 25 cup the price will exceed 600
i.e 25*price_of_tea > 600
price_of_tea = 601/25 = 24.04(for simplicity)
similarly , minimum price of coffee = 1001/16 = 62.562
now if he buys 8 cup of tea money left with him = 2200 - 24.04*8 = 2007.68
maximum number of coffee he can buy = 2007.68/62.56 = 32.09 => 32
please comment if I'm wrong

solution:
If he bought 8 cups of tea
price of 8 cups of tea is (600/24)*8=200 rupees
the remaining amount is 2200-200=2000 rps
If the cost of 1 cup of coffee is (1500/15=100 rps)
then in 2000 rps he can buy 2000/100=20 cups of coffee

Even I got the answer 30. but its not in the options. plz tell the correct answer. The solutions are a bit complicated.
