take the probable values,that means in the second line a*age is 3 digits.a should take the values of 3 or 2 or 1(3*3=single digit)..in a similar fashion o+o+o is o,the probable values are 0 or 5...do it like that,ull get the ans.

use back track process since AGE*O=GOTO ie E*O=O, possible only when 1> O=5 and E=3,7,9
2> E=6 and O=2,4,8
now let O=5 now see 2nd column O+(1 OR 2) equals to E so e must be 7. PUT O=5 and E=7.

3*o=o.only possible with 5.5*3=15.0=5. o*e=o.hence e must be odd.also 0+1/2=e.hence e can only be 7.e=7.a cannot be >3 else multiplication with a will exceed a 3 digit number.a can be 2,3.try with both you will get a=3,g=1.then remaining can be solved easily.

think 1st about AGE*A= HOG...and so on...

3) b. S=2, I=4, T =8. Hence SIT is in G.P having r=2
