A and B work together for 4 days and completed 4*(1/8 +1/12) =5/6 work.
Balance 1/6 work will be completed by C in one day.

A can do a work in 8 days. A's 1 day work =1/8
B can do a work in 12 days. B's 1 day work =1/12
C can do a work in 6 days. C's 1 day work =1/6
Both A and B's 1 day work = 1/8+1/12 = 5/24
4 days work in both A and B = (5/24)*4 = 5/6
Remaining part of work = 1-(5/6)=1/6.
C can do a 1 part of work is 6days.
C can do (1/6)part of work = (1/6)*6 = 1 day.
so C can finish the remaining work in 1 day.
