There is a doll that can make 2 musical sounds. it makes 2 musical sounds after being defective. what is the probability that the same musical sound would be produced 5 times consecutively?

Solution

There are two sounds A and B,
In first chance the doll can produce any of the two sounds so probability = 1
After that for making the same sound to be produced, probability = 1/2
similarly for the other chances thus answer will be 1*(1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2) = 1/16
