3rd square-(10/2)-5cm
5th square-(5/2)-2.5 cm
7th sqaure-(2.5/2)-1.25 cm

the formula for the side of nth square is x/root 2 power n-1 where n is the 9 here & x is the side of square & perimeter of square is 4* side

9th Square inside it means 10th Square including outer one if it is so ans should be 2.5/root2.

formula is side/sqr 2^(n-1)

so 10/sqr(2^8)=10/16=5/2=2.5

if the side of 1st square is 10
then 3rd square is its half mean=5
so 9th square is =1.25
so the perimeter is =1,25*4=5

the side of ninth square becomes 5/8.
so the perimeter = 4*(5/8)=2.5

formula is side/sqr (2^(n-1))
so 10/sqr(2^(9-1))
then we get 10/16; and then we want perimeter so 4*(10/16)=2.5

if we connect the mid points then we can get 4 squares (inside big square) . if we do connect mid points of 4 squares we get 14 squares(inside big square) then calculate the perimeter of any square that is 10cm(2.5*4)
(he asked about 9th but all squares in side big square are same so we need not consider whether it is 1st r 2nd r any sqr )

let the side of 1st square be 'a' then side of inside square by pythagorus theorem is
a/root(2),similarly, side of next square is 'a'/2 that is sides are in G.P
a,a/root(2),a/2,a/2root(2)...so 9th term give side of 9th square..
t9th=a*r^n-1
=10*1/root(2)^9-1=5/8
so...perimeter=4*5/8=2.5
