As x+ 2y can be = 3
x = 3 - 2y

putting this into equation 1

3y + 3 - 2y > 2

3y+2x>2 now the 2nd one is x+2y=-3
now add the 2 relations
we get 3y+x-x-2y>-1=> y> -1
hence ans is y>-1

2 => 3 - x > 2y

1+2 => 3y + 3 > 2y +2

Multiply the second equation with -1 then it will become - x - 2y ≥ - 3. Add the equations. You will get y > -1.

y=1 is correct answer
since if we take y=1 and x=0 in equation 1 then value is 3 which is greater than 2. Similarly by putting second equation give value 2 which is less than 3
