Let x be total no. of pages in the book.
You read 3x/8 pages on 1st day and 5x/8*4/5=x/2 pages on another day.
Remaining no of pages=30.
(3x/8)+(x/2)+30=x
Therefore x=240

let x is the total no. of pages.
then remaining unread pages after first day=x-(3x/8)=5x/8
no. of read pages on second day=(5x/8)*4/5=x/2
hence total no. of read pages after second day=(3x/8)+(x/2)=7x/8
unread pages=x-(7x/8)=x/8
and x/8=30
so x=240
hence Answer is 240 pages.

3x/8: 1st day so reamaning page 1-3x/8= 5x/8

for 2 day first day also be consider 5x/8*4/5=x/2 pages on second day

Unread pages=30.

(3x/8)+(x/2)+30=x

So final result will be x=240

let x be the total number of pages
On one day he reads 3x/8 of the book
another day he reads 4/5 of remaining =x(5/8)(4/5)
now left over is 30 pgs
therefore,
x=(3x/8)+(20x/40)+30
on solving,
x=240

3/8th work completed it means remainig is 5/8th so
(5/8*x)(4/5)=x/2 it means remaing work is only half is completed
so x/2=30
x=60
total pages are 8*60=480

let the total no of pages is x;
x*3/8+(x-3/8*x)*4/5+30=x
u solved it
then find the values of x=240
x/3=30
x=240 ans

ANS: totally 240 pages.one day i read 90 pages and another day i read 120 pages remaining 30 pages unread.
