Work done by X in 1 day= 1/12
Work done by Y in 1 day= 1/18
Work done by Z in 1 day= 1/10
Work done by (X+Y+Z) in 1 day= 1/12+ 1/18+ 1/10= 43/180
Work done by (X+Y+Z) in 3 days=43*3/180= 43/60
Remaining work= 1-(43/60)= 17/60
This work is done by Y alone
therefore no.of days taken by Y to complete 17/60= (17/60)*18= 51/10 days= 5.1days

one day work of x,y,z is (1/12),(1/18),(1/10) respectively
one day work if all work together = (1/12)+(1/18)+(1/10)=(43/180)
3 day work of all when working together = 43/60
remaining work=(17/60)
1 work is done by y in days = 18
17/60 is done in = 5.1 days

ans = 5.1 days

Work done by (X+Y+Z) in 1 day= 1/12+ 1/18+ 1/10= 43/180

y take 6 days to finish work

first we have to take lcm of 12,18,10...we 180
so x will do 15 parts of work per day(i.e)12*15.
y will do 10 parts of work per day
z will do 18 parts of work per day
then xyz are working together for 3 days
then x=3*15=45
y=2*10=30
z=18*3=54
total=129
so 129 parts will be finished in 3 days,remaining part=180-129=71
x,z leaves
for 71 days y needs 7.1 days to complete the remaining work.

work done in 3 day=3*(1/12+1/18+1/10)=43/60
now remaing work 1-43/60=17/60
now for y 1 day work is 1/18 so that 17/60 work should be done
17/60*18=51/10
so that y take 5.1 more day to complette work
