115/125=92
so ans will 100-92=8

let petrol x rs/lit
taking initially we hv 100/-
so petrol gets 100/x
nw new price is 5x/4
so petrol 115*4/5x=92/x
so 8% he will reduce

let in rs x we are getting y petrol
in increase of 25 % the same y petrol would be now at rs (5x/4) {25% of x +x}
but he can only increase his expenditure upto (115x/100) {15%x + x}
so he will get onle (115 y/125 ) in (115x/100) so the ans
so the reduction in petrol is 10y/125
dat is 8%

suppose 1 liter of petrol is 100rs and assume he spends 200rs on petrol
so no lit he obt is 2lit(200/100) now increase on petrol is 25% and Amount he spends is 15% then i lit of petrol is 125 and amnt spended is 230
no of lit now he obt is 1.84
percentage dec is (2-1.84/2)*100=8%
