A & B travelling from X to Y.A starts at 12 pm at a speed of 63m/hr.B at 1:30 pm at a speed of 84m/hr.

Distance covered by A in 1.5 hrs = 63*1.5 = 94.5 mtrs.

Extra distance coverd by B in 1 hr = 84-63= 21 mtrs
Additional distance required to be covered by B so that B is 34 mtr ahead of A = 94.5 + 34 = 128.5 mtrs
time taken = 128.5/21 = 6.12 hrs = 6 hrs 7.2 mins
So B will be 34 m ahead of A at 7:37:12 PM

Let time taken be t hrs
Distance travelled by A in time t=63*t
B started 90 mins late
Time taken by B=(t-3/2)hrs
Distance travelled by B=84*(t-3/2)
distance of B-distance of A=34
84(t-3/2)-63t = 34
21t-126=34
21t=160
t=(160/21)hrs=7hrs 37min
Time=12pm+ 7hrs 37 min
=7:37 pm

let the time taken by A be x hrs.distance =63x m.
distance travelled by B(in x-3/2 hrs)=84(x-3/2)
84(x-3/2)-63x=34
x=7hrs 36 min
thus d time 7 hrs 36 min ahead of 12pm z 7:36 pm..
